Charity Church serving as a beacon of hope by sharing our talents and gifts for the growth of God's kingdom.

Praise Service - 8:30 a.m.

Did you ever want to wear shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops to church on Sunday morning? Well in the summer anyway? For sure a lot of us grew up in church where that kind of laid back style wouldn’t have gotten out the front door past Mamma, much less into the pew at church! My.. how times have changed!

We do the 8:30 am Praise Service at Charity Church, and it’s not about how you dress, or about how you look, or even if you know a whole lot or nothing at all about God or worship, or singing a song about your faith. All we’re looking for is a willing heart that wants to know more about Jesus and Salvation… and the love and care that comes from being part of a church family that understands how to care for one another.

People enter a church for many reasons on Sunday mornings. Some are looking for comfort in the face of tragedy, or to rejoice in the glow of a great happening in life. Many are looking to discover more about this thing called Faith that they feel they need, but can’t identify in their lives. Some want to meet Jesus Christ for the first time, or want to reconnect with the Jesus they met a long time ago.

Whatever your motivation for wanting to walk through the door… we’re good with it. We’ll do our best to help you find what you’re looking for.

And then there are all those hymns sung from the hymn book… the choir in the choir loft in robes singing songs that you never heard before… except for maybe at Christmas! A Preacher preaching from behind a grand lectern with a black robe down to his toes... you might have seen all that before. You might have gotten tired of that someplace else. Charity’s 8:30 service is very much NOT the above.

So what should you expect? When you get inside the place you’ll find a traditional looking sanctuary (meeting place for fellowship & worship) that has been recently renovated. You’ll see a bunch of music stands and microphone stands up front where the band does their thing. Yes… I said band… we don’t do choir at the 8:30 service.

But what we hope you’ll find the most is the peace that comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ, and presence of Holy Spirit as you go through each and every day. We hope that when you visit Charity Church, you will go out wanting more than when you came in. We hope that you will have experienced a worship service that is genuine, fun, thought provoking, full of moments of reflection and above all else honoring of God and all He represents in this troubled world.
