At work in the fields of the Lord, harvesting hearts for Christ.

Charity's Child Protection Policy

As followers of Jesus Christ, we recognize the importance of our youth and children.

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me,
                        and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such
                        as these.'"      Matthew 19:14

To maintain the safety and well-being of all children and youth, we have a written Child Protection Policy outlining responsible and appropriate behaviors expected of anyone (volunteer or paid staff) who works with minors.  A background check is also run on youth workers every three years to help insure the integrity of our Children's and Youth programs and activities.

Examples of those who need to understand and adhere to the Child Protection Policy and under go a background screening:
  • Any paid staff member who works with children/youth
  • Nursery staff and volunteer workers
  • Sunday School teachers for those ages preschool through high school
  • Youth group leaders and chaperones
  • Vacation Bible School volunteers
  • Anyone working with a church related or church sponsored program or activity.
To facilitate the education and screening of child/youth volunteers, the needed forms are available here.  You may download the necessary forms and return them to the Family Ministries Coordinator.  Please note there are two required forms and there is one version for adult volunteers age 18 and above; another for youth volunteers age 17 and under.
